Hi Jebber and Gigi - thanks so much for this, it was good to fill in a few blanks and get a bit of colour around the basics of his life that I was aware of.  And yes, Gigi I would definitely be interested to find out a bit more about his ancestry - if you could PM me your email address I'll give you mine if you have any further info you can share; I'm impressed at how much info you have at your fingertips.
