I have no Brunton, only I think Barr...
not researched it all yet, still trying to sort the later members.

had speirs going back to barr's in socotland...not sure of line...only tentative...no brunton...maybe it was a family name like mine is shaw so they called the kid mary shaw smith, sort of.

try the igi...just do a parent search..
go to right hand side of screen and put in father's name, then mother if you have it, and nothing else.

click go, and all kids of parents of those names come up.

see how you go.  robyn shaw. toowoomba. qld. oz.

Do you know if they married into the Speirs/Spears/Spiers family?

We had Barrs in ours from Scotland.

Hi, my rellie was William Small.  Served in WW1.  He stayed with the Traynor/er boys and their sister in Erdington district, Birmingham.  Summer Road I think it was...  He got her pregnant and he ended up killing his only son who was 8 in 1920....she was left holding the baby as it were, William being in jail.

I found a Traynor had a child in August 1920, but was not sure if it was her. ....  any help?

Well, I can tell you about William Wackford.
He was the father of Henry.  He came here in the Victory.

He went to Rockhampton.

Married twice and his son William married Jessie Bichsel and they had a Joan who was my husband's first wife.

They came from Cambourne, Cornwall and he was a tin miner.

Any help to you.

Actually if you go to google and put in 1871 census of cornwall, you will find them on the census.

think kindred cousins site or something like that.
