Hi agen for attn PatH. ur entry refers , Nope u aint the last one by a  long shot. from ur dates at NWCC u were there same time as me 1957 to 1960 then I went off to Singapore. My Boss man was W.O. Gerry Chambers were u Commcen or Pbx? Either way a happy unit to be at with fond memories.
Heres one for others of our era... Who rembers the big security exercise held with Haydock under attack, Think it lasted a couple of day/nights. I was a Gaurd Commander and had bod parked in the Slag Heaps etc to catch any infiltrators, and they tried. If memory serves me right we caught those that tried. Ah happy days and memories

continuing on from my last entries Got the O'Neil name wrong he was at Rheindahlen. Anyone remember Jock Craig? he became a Warrant Officer  and what about a Wraf Cpl by name Val Hamer? I know she married a fellow Cpl but his name escapes me . NWCC was a great and happy posting to many of us I remember being on evening shift when the Man u Team bought it in Germany, there that gives my age away.
Many a happy day at Haydock including a trip down the local coal mine.
