I wonder if the census information's from Ancestry. If so, it may have been mistranscribed. The best thing to do would be to go on scotlandspeople & look for William's death & also the childrens births.Once you view the certificates all will be revealed! Good luck,
flst

Thanks, I will get back on to Scotland's people and find the certificates, hopefully I can resolve this mystery.
 Regards, Sly

Hi

Found Isabella, Walter Jessie and more children on 1901 census living at Merkland Road Rast in Aberdeen

Walter Begg    40
Isab Begg    40
Jessie Hudden    17
Katie Hudden    12
Walter Hudden    10
Jane Hudden    7
Alex Hudden    5
Hugh Hudden    2
Isab Hudden    2mo

Norma, Do you know if there is a death certificate for William Hadden? I thought the other children would be named Begg? and that Jessie ann was the only child from William Hadden. Still, I am sure it will all come together soon.
 Thanks.

Norma

Hi

On Jessies marriage to James Winten who did she name as her parents?

Were these the same on her 2nd marriage and death cert?

Norma

Hi Norma, yes her father is William Hadden and mother Isabella Clark on all of the certificates. Thanks for your help.

Hi!
Are you sure of the spelling? Perhaps it could be registered as Winton. Have you tried looking for them in the 1911 census? That would tell you where she was born.
Susan
Thanks Susan, I have managed to find the marriage certificate of Jessie Ann Hadden and James Winten. James died, and Jessie Ann re-married. I am still trying to piece things together but I think Jessie Ann was born in St Nicholas, however most likely she was staying with other family members as her mother seems to have re-located when she re- married.

Aberdeenshire / Jessie Ann Hadden and James Winten

Hi I am trying to find out where and when my great grandmother was born. She married a James Winten in 1904 district of St Nicholas Aberdeen. At the time of marriage their usual residence was 118 Park street Aberdeen.
Jessie Ann later married Thomas Hannah in Haggs Stirlingshire and died there in 1954. I have her parents name on her death certificate who are William Hadden a farm servant and Isabella Hadden maiden surname Clark.
I have tried scotlands people but can't find names that match. I would be really grateful of any more information, or ideas as to where I might look next.
regards, sly.

The Common Room / George Hanley and Mary Phillips Brand
« on: Wednesday 18 July 12 20:20 BST (UK)  »
Hi I am looking for information on George Hanley who was born in Dublin, moved to Manchester and was later a slippermaker in Glasgow. He is on the 1891 census as living at 3 North Albion street with his wife Mary Phillips Brand and five children. I would like to get in touch with someone on rootschat known as lizziedripping, who I came across while surfing the addresses, but I am new to rootschat and can't seem to find her. The message lizziedripping sent was a few years ago, however I checked the profile and she is still a regular user of Rootschat. please can anyone help me get in touch with lizzie.
