Sorry but I've not heard of any Gillespies. I asked my mum but she's not heard of the name either being connected to our Campbell family

Ive got info that William Campbell b 23/07/1869 lived the early part of his life in 'Brownlow Place' & that the family attended Brownlow Parish Church. No-one I know knows where this was (in B/burn) - can anyone enlighten me on this please?
Helen McGibbon Mathew b22/06/1875 - her paternal grandfather owned 'Farm of Whitehouse' Auchenbowie Mains. Helen was born & brought up here - does it still exist?

Stirlingshire / Campbell's of Bannockburn

Hi everyone
I'm so grateful to everyone who's helped me in my quest to find my paternal side of my family (Montgomery & Stevenson famillies) but my mum is feeling a bit put out so can anyone help me with the Campbell side please? For some reason I've never been really interested in that side so I've got very little info. My grandparents owned the newsagents next to the Empire Bar. They were James Campbell b05/02/1909 d17/09/1982 and Jean (Jane) Campbell nee Don b05/12/1913 d26/06/1990 They married 02/04/1937 Tillicoultry.
James' parents were William Campbell b23/09/1869 d19/11/1942  & Helen McGibbon Mathew b22/06/1875 d30/031964.  They married 11/12/1901 Auchenbowie Mains
Williams parents were James Campbell (quarryman) & Janet Stevenson
Janets parents were David Mathew (carter -railway) & Christina Mathew (nee Dobbie) m04/07/1873 (Touchmollar??)
I've got a bit more info but thats pretty much how far back I've got myself
Any more info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Liz
Meant to say Helen (not Janet) parents were David Mathew & Christina Dobbie

really sorry 2 hear of your loss. dont rush 2 get the info on here 4 me - ur own personal stuff comes 1st.
Im still totally in awe of the info you've given - Ive worked out  (with you giving the info obviously) that there wasnt a James Montgomery 4 nearly 200yrs. My brother (who I wont name but it is one of the common fam names) had a wee boy in 1990 who he called James (Robert) but he only lived 4 5months & it was really nice 2 c a James down the line. Thanx agen.
Best Wishes
