Hello,

Looking for as much information as anyone can give me please on the above. Samuel Akeroad married a Mary Lee at St Chad's, Rochdale Lancashire. They had a son William Akeroad born 1754 baptised at St Chad's Rochdale, whose name changed over the years to William Arkwright.

I am struggling to find confirmation of Samuel's actual date of birth or his parents or indeed any siblings he may have had. Can anyone help with this, or guide me how to find out more about St Chad's parish records online please?

Hi,

Looking for some advise on John above, I have he was born abt 1675 in Stratton, Cornwall. he married a Jane (??) (b 1680 d 1734 stratton). They had two son Moses b 1700 Stratton, d 1740 Teath and John b 1698 Stratton.

I am looking for any help on the parents of John born 1675 c and the maiden name of Jane. I have tried Cornwall parish registers on line, but no luck. Are there any people who can help me with info please?

thank you for your reply, I have the following for their children,
Children of WILLIAM AKEROAD and BETTY DOBSON are:
JOHN AKEROAD, ARKWRIGHT, b. Nov 1780, chapel Nr. Bacup Co. Lancs.
ABRAHAM ARKWRIGHT, b. Mar 1788, Chapel Nr Bacup Co. Lancs -; d. 15 Sep 1858, Aston Warwick
JAMES AKEROAD ARKWRIGHT, b. Feb 1791, Bacup Co. Lancs.

I believe there is a possibility but unable to factual check if a Samuel Akeroad is the father of William he married a Mary? Samuel was born in Rochdale I have do date of birth.

I am confident the information on Abraham is correct, it is his parents I am concerned that I have the wrong info. Abraham moved to Aston in Warwick and the line from here I have. Just really stuck in going back and appreciate any help.

Hi, I am looking for the below information please,

Name: Abraham Arkwright

Estimated birth year: abt 1788 died 1858 (age 70 death cert confirmed)
Gender: Male

Civil Parish: Manchester
Hundred: Salford
County/Island: Lancashire
Registration district: Ashton under Lyn

His father I believe was William Arkwright born 1754 who married (I believe parish records) Betty Dobson although from family search.org the Arkwright name is showing as Akeroad (?).

I am looking for information on William Arkwright above and his siblings together with parent details if possible. Is anyone able to help in either confirming parents of Abraham are indeed William, and if so the siblings of William.

Can anyone direct me to a good site that will help me look at births for this period please? I've tried cornwall parish registers, but birth not listed. I am struggling to go back from this date.

James married a Grace Williams in 1642. I have their childrens details but parents I am not doing so well at.

Hi,

I am looking for information of siblings of the above two;

Richard born 1831 in Aston and John born c1829 in Aston, parents were Abraham born 1788 (Manchester?) and Mary Thomson born 1792 Aylesworth, Bucks.

I have details of Richard's three marriages and children, but nothing for John.

Any info greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Would anyone be able to direct me or help me find some information on the above gentleman. Information I have todate is;
Abraham Arkwright born 1788c -( born Manchester I believe) married a Mary Thomson of Aylesworth, Bucks and they had two children both born in Aston Warwickshire, John c 1829 and Richard c1831.

I am looking for information on both Abraham's siblings and parents if possible please?

Appreciate any guidance on this as I am totally stuck on this one now.

Hi Jancon,

Not sure if you will read this, a long time since you posted on this thread.

I have found the death records of William to be: - 18/02//1861 at Gunnislake. I have also found his parents;

Thomas and Joanna Breen, and who I believe to be Thomas's parents: - John and Betty Courtiers however, I am struggling to find both confirmation of birth date for John and siblings of Thomas. if you have found any information, I would love to have this if possible.

If I can help in any way, please feel free to ask.
