Many thanks Sandymc and Victor for your added information.  I know that Worthy's parents, William and Jane (Angel) married in Hullavington in 1818, when Jane was 22.    I'm sure they must have had other children before Worthy who was not born until 1832 when Jane was 36.  Perhaps Hester was my William's Aunt.  Hester and William's son William was born 3 years before my William, so obviously not the same person.  Don't you just love genealogy.......sometimes in answering a question, it raises dozens more!!!

Many thanks once again for your input.  The geography lesson was invaluable, thank-you.

Kind Regards,
Gayle in NZ.

Many thanks Pauline for your quick response.
My Worthy's parents were married in Hullavington, just across the border in Wiltshire.  There seem to be a lot of Mills in Wiltshire - even more than Gloucestershire.
Happy hunting.  If I find anything connecting us I will let you know!!

Hi Pauline,
Do you have the names of Hester Mills parents and any of her siblings?   My GG Grandfather was a Worthy Mills from Shipton Moyne.  He was born in 1832 and I am trying to sort out his family.  I know he was born in Shipton Moyne.  He came out to NZ in 1874.

Many thanks,

Hi Emma,
I'm also researching Fonthill Gifford families.  They all seem to be connected.  My Gt Grandmother was a Jane Stevens.  If I find anything about Rosanna during my research I will let you know.  There is a Thomas Stevens born/christened 26 April 1829 but he is the son of William and Rachel Day.
Good Luck
Gayle

Hi,
I've just found your request for info on Rosanna Mary Stevens.  Is her Father Thomas the son of William Stevens and Rachel Day do you know?
