My G-G-grandmother was Amy Amander Cope (born 1834) married James Heath in 1855. Amy's parents were Thomas & Eliza Cope both born Cir 1801.
The Newchapel parish registers contain a number of the Cope family. (Newchapel is only a couple of miles from Tunstall).

Hi Nell,
My photo is 4MB. I am new to this site, where do I send the photo to?
It will be interesting to comare them.
Also how many people have you identified at the wedding? We have only identified about 20 out off 55!

Thanks for the offer of info on the Nevitts. The only reason I got info on my greataunt Penninah was that I was facinated by her name. The only certificate I have is her wedding certificate.
The information from you and Cathy is more than enough for now.

Penninah"s great-grandfather was  Samuel Bosson (born about 1769) who married Sarah SIGLEY/SHRIGLEY on 30 Oct 1787 in St Edward the Confessor, Cheddleton, Stoke-on-Trent. They had at least 10 children. I have to go back to my orignal source to sort out Sarah's name, I will probably do this during one of my yearly visit to UK!
Cheers
Cliff

Hi Nell,
My greataunt was Penninah Bosson and one of my distant cousins sent me a photo of the wedding in 1908. He obtained it from the Nevitt side of the fmily.
Have you seen it?

Hi Cathy,
The informaton you gave me corrisponds with the Nevitt family associated with Penninah.
On the wedding certificate Samuel's address is Chesterton and his father James is a joiner.
The witness were Penninah's brother & sister.
The Samuel Nevitt born 1882 also fits in.
Recently I found information on Stanley Nevitt (Samuel & Penninah's son) who emigrated to Australia where I now live.
Thanks once again.
Cheers
Cliff

My grandaunt Penninah BOSSON married Sam NEVITT. Sam's father on the marriage certificate is James NEVITT. Does anyone know if  this is the same James NEVITT would was killed in a pit accident in 1915?
