Thank you for this. I have absolutely no information on the home. I know the Census record was filled out by Miss Mabe.

Any information is greatly received.
Thanks again

Hi
I am wondering if anyone can help me. I am looking for information on St Christopher's Home for Boys in Penge. It was situated at 5 Avenue Road, Penge.
I have just discovered that my Great Grandfather was an inmate their in 1921 and I am trying to find out any information and if any records still exist.
I have contacted both Croydon and Bromley council and they have no records at all.

Thanks in advanced

I am looking for Sarah Ann Smith born 1851 in Portsmouth, Hampshire to John Smith and Sarah Selina Richards.
According to the 1851 census (Bingham Town, Alverstoke) John was born in 1828 in Ireland and occupation was recorded as Warden Convict Service.
Sarah Selina Richards born 1826 in Gosport.
When I started looking at the 1861 census (Hound, Hampshire), I found a Sarah Ann Smith living with John and Sarah Poole along with 2 boys Robert and John G Cove, all the children were down as there Daughter and Sons.

I have searched and searched but can find no record of John Smith or Sarah Selina Richards Smith.

Any help or advise is desperately needed.
Many Thanks in advance
