I think this is Ann Toy/Martin who died February 12, 1806 at Parramatta so am loath to buy the death certificate at the moment. Is it possible to confirm it is the person you are looking for before you pay for a death certificate? thanks Rod

Australia / Ann MARTIN first fleet.

I'm trying to find what happened to Ann after her marriage & the birth of her daughter Sarah Miller. I've read the record of her unruly behavior and return trip to Norfolk Is, and supposedly working as a prostitute in Parramatta. There is also mention of an Ann Martin having children to Samuel Howell around 1809 which I believe to be after my Ann Martin's death. There is another Ann Martin who arrived as Ann Toy and married John Martin, 'a negro' from the first fleet, thus becoming Ann Martin. I am wondering if the two have been confused, thanks, Rod.

I have read Susannah's trial record but can't find much about Aaron Walters (Waters) who married her in 1815, except one link that says he was an armourer on the Broxbournebury and jumped ship in Sydney. I think this info came from a book by Elizabeth Hook called "journey to a new life" but I can't find a copy. Can anyone help please?

Elizabeth Smith & John Bailey were my 4greats grandparents. Essential reading on any Macdonald Valley families is: "The Forgotten Valley by M. Hutton Neve," Abebooks has it online (it is rare) I'm trying to find out about Aaron Walters or Waters who married Susannah Lalliment. I think he was crew on the Broxbournebury & jumped ship to be with her (she was a convict) but can't find proof, thanks.
