I've just joined the forum and am new to researching family history. I found your rather old post and am very interested as my mother is a living Harcourt (age 93). By a combination of my own research and by looking at other's trees i have been able to trace the line back to John Harker and have similar results to you, i.e:
John Harker m. Jane Boys:
John Harcourt m. Ann Cubitt
John Harcourt m. Anne Jermy
John Harcourt m. Anne Ellis
William Harcourt m. Elizabeth Dye
Anthony Harcourt m. Mary Butler
Charles S Harcourt m. Eliza Olley
Charles S Harcourt m. Elizabeth A Binks
Frederick G Harcourt m. Edith Ethel Wright
My mother
What is particularly interesting is that, according to others, the Cubbit line can be traced back to royalty but I am taking that with a pinch of salt for the moment. If you have managed to dig out any additional information on the Harcourt line since your original post - particularly the change of name from Harker, I would be very interested
