Wow - I hope this turns out to be the long lost branch that I've been searching for! Thank you so much for your research and efforts - I'm excited to go and check this out :-)

Thanks for your help Jarvey. We actually went to the Churches out there and looked at their old records, and still couldn't find any sign of either one of them. I am thinking that Belfast is a better guess -as his Dad worked for the City, and that he sent remittances to him from the Army there.

His mother is listed on his marriage certificate as Kathleen and Katherine Kelly - so not sure which one it is.

Thanks Mary - I will have to investigate this line - Joseph was born Jan 1891 according to  his army records ( I think I wrote 1893 by mistake) - not unusual to have the marriage after the baby though!
What are the births - possibly his Father and Aunt? Sorry - a bit slow this morning.

I also found  a reference to a Catherine Ward that died in 1911 Co Down, and married Michael Ward 1883 Co Antrim that I need to look into as well as a marriage between Michael Ward and Catherine Kelly in 1890 in Co Antrim.

Thanks again :-)

Yes...have found a bit more information in that Michael Ward didn't live in Belfast in 1907 I believe - so back to the Bangor theory and more digging - wasn't able to find him through the Bangor Catholic Church either though, so am hoping that he appears on the 1911 Census and that it is online soon!

Thanks Jim - that's actually the site where I found my GGF, Michael Ward. Unfortunately, when I searched for the LDS film number on Jean McCarthy's Belfast Street index, that street happens to be blank, so I'm not sure if the film doesn't include that street, or should I just go ahead and order the film that is listed for other streets in Ormeau Ward and hope it's included.
Of course, there's no guarantee that he actually was living at that address during the census, since he also was listed as living on New Street, Ardenlee Avenue and Woodstock Road in subsequent years. I have him on Oberon Street in 1907, and thanks to Anthony, have him on Woodstock Road in 1915, so with any luck, he was at either location in the 1911 Census, if I ever get to see that one.

Still trying to locate my GGF in Belfast - have now spotted him living on Oberon Street off Cregagh Road in 1907 - any helpful person out there that can tell me which LDS film might contain the census records for this street in 1901? With any luck he will have been there during the census.

Thanks!

Have I missed anyone who needs a 1901 census look up ?

Hi Christopher,
If you're offering to look up names, could you look for my Grandfather/ Great Grandfather please?
Joseph Ward b ~1893, father Michael Ward, Mother Kathleen (?) Kelly, sister Bridget ward, unknown b/date.
I have addresses of New Street and later,  Woodstock Road.
Thanks!
