Its always a pleasure to discover new distant cousins, however remote. I actually visited the grave of Alexander Kinnell and Janet Knox yesterday at Aberdour. I can post pictures if you wish

William Robert Logie born 27 Dec 1836 Muirkirk, Ayrshire. died 05 Jan 1885 Glasgow Road, Muirkirk, Ayrshire.
married 13 Feb 1857 Muirkirk, Ayrshire
Spouse Barbara Harkness born 16 Feb 1834 Pathhead, New Cumnock, Ayrshire Died 1913 place unknown.
Children All born in Muirkirk, Ayrshire.
John Logie born 24 Apr 1860
Agnes Logie born 03 Apr 1862
Hannah Logie born 05 Jan 1865
James Logie born 07 Apr 1866
George Logie born 18 May 1868
Robert Logie born 23 Aug 1870
Mary Jane Logie born 23 Jul 1873

William Robert Logie parents John Logie & Elizabeth Allison Blyth
Barbara Harkness parents
John Dempster Blyth & Hannah Dickson


All infromation was passed to me from my cousin.

this is the information I have
James Logie married Anne Hair  Anne was born about 1766.
They had six children:
William Hair, Margaret, Isabel, John, James and Helen.


William Hair Logie was born on 7 Feb 1786 in Minnigaff, Kirkcudbright, was christened on 7 Feb 1786 in Minnigaff Kirkcudbright died on 11 Sep 1856 in Gatehead Kilmaurs Ayrshire aged 70, and was buried in Dundonald Burying Ground.

Looks like we have different records.

I have William Robert LOGIE & Barbara HARKNESS [married13 Feb 1857 Muirkirk, Ayrshire] in my family tree [mother's side]

After hours of searching I see that there is also a James LOGIE married to a Barbara HARKNESS but all the children from both these are the same names/births.

Just wondered if you knew any more as to why this could be.
