I am descended from Thomas Carroll from Effin in Limerick. He was born sometime between 1797 & 1801. In 1827 he was transported to Australia for life after being convicted for firing houses. I have been unable to go any further back than Thomas & have not been able to find out any information about his family etc. Would be very interested to know if his name has come up in any of your research.
