I have found a frank bloomer, aged 3, who was brought up by his 'grandfather' john priest (77) in the 1901 census....

He lived there with his 'sister' Maggie Bloomer (25), and 'brother' Cyril Bloomer (4)...I wonder if Maggie was their mother?...if that is the case his father was Noah Bloomer?...

Ive found a Noah and Maggie Bloomer who had two boys Frank and Cyril????

Maggie Bloomer was Maggie Fellows, her grandfather was James Priest (known as John????)

to confuse matters Maggie had a brother called Frank born abt 1874, but she DIDNT have a brother called Cyril.......

Sorry if its all written down a bit random!

too much coincedence???????

Hi

No I don't, I'm sorry....this is all work I've done without any certificates so far.

Basically my husbands grandad was Charles Bloomer...Charlies mother was Mary Astley...the only marriage I can find for Bloomer/Astley is that one in 1919....I am waiting for Charlies birth certificate to confirm his parents...then I will go for Franks certs if I'm proved correct. ;D

Hi

I'm also searching for the parents of Frank Bloomer born about 1899.   I believe he is my husband great grandfather.  So far I have recovered the same as you. He married Mary Astley in 1919 and I believe he died in 1943 aged 44. I have found his burial records at Dudley Cemetery.   I know they had at least one child Charles T Bloomer (1921)  who married Lilian Sinclair in 1940, possibly two others. Charles died in 1973 aged 52.  I am currently waiting for charles' birth certificate to confirm all of this, however I am 90% this is correct so far.

The two other possible sons of Frank Bloomer are (*) and Frank (1919)...and interestingly I think (*) is still alive, as I cannot find a death cert!

I am stuck as there appears to be two Frank Bloomers born in the same year, and both in Old Hill!

I'm am new to this too, so any tips would be appreciated!

Jo Bloomer

hi yes i have ordered the birth certificate!

His mother, I believe was Mary Astley and his Father was Frank Bloomer...he may have had two brothers Frank and Hubert, but until I get a certificate i cant confirm this.

Charlie Bloomer also had 8 children, 5 boys and 3 girls, one of the boys died as an infant.  However I am really interested in further back so if anyone has any family info, i would be most gratelful.

Hi I'm married into the Bloomer family and my father in law ran the loving lamb in, I think, the 80's.

I only know family back as far as his dad who was Charlie Bloomer and he was born in 1921. He married Lilian Sinclair in 1940 and they had six children.

@Lee Bloomer.....I think my father in law is your uncle!

I can ask for more info if anyone is interested

Kind regards Jo Bloomer
