Hello Roger,
I have the census copy with Frances but was itchy over this as i could not find find Henry.
Slowly the picture is developing,i would agree that Sarah and Mary would be sisters.
Thank you for finding the marriage details. Another jigsaw piece in place.

Hi
This family name is one of my own so details of marriage found on Find my past and posted by the Northampton Family History Society. Also details confirmed by a Denise Branks from Curious Fox.
John and Mary Darling has a son William whom married Hannah Hurle they in turn had a son Henry whom as best we could transcribe as Darnell but given the poor writing could have been Darling or the clerks spelling at the time! All the children of John and MAry were found on Northampton parish registers.
I am at present working on John parents Thomas Bletsoe and Mary? Thomas i can find is 1692 in Harold which seems to fit but i have not located the actual record, but at present i cannot locate the marriage to support the LDS information. Sorry i should have said Henry;s middle name is Darnell

Added to this i have just checked out the source for the dates of births these were obtained from
another family member whose family descend from Charles Sister Kezia. Also there us a Will which is from the brother Thomas where upon his death made Charles executor of his will where he names the whole family. This was a huge help in tracking this whole family.
Kezia married John Peacock in 7 Nov 1784 Potton Bedfordshire

Hi
No i have not seen that baptism, i have seen a baptism for a Thomas Burns whom lists the father as Patrick Henry and mother Mary but as in all three baps they do not give the mother maiden name.
On Henry,s birth cert the mother is down as maiden name "Woods".
Henry went on to have a son Stanley and put Woods as his middle name, so i believe this to be the Mary,s maiden name.
Thomas is also catholic Baptism and 27th of February 1865 in Parish Church St Peter

Yes those baptism records are correct, Henry and Frances appear to be separated from Parents.
As as of 1881 i have found marriage for Frances to Edward Lang but then nothing and Henry married Phoebe Gomm in Paddington London.
We know from 1881 what happened to Henry but what and where he was before 1881 is a complete mystery. I have tried all the orphanges and no information could be found. Henrys birth gives father Patricks occupation as shipwright. Also found original baptism in Catholic registration for both Henry and Frances.
Checked out 1861 census for Tenterden street the birth address for Henry but no Burns listed. The No 8 is a Alehouse and lodging house.

Hello Everyone,

I tried the link but the connection did not work, then i retried and sent an email but the email was returned as error.
So i believe that the site link is not avail.
The Census to which i was refering to was 1891, but in 1881 my ancestor was logged as a bootlaster but in lodgings in Paddington. His futur wife and family are logged as shoe buttonners at factory and spindle winders in factory.
I acertain that the pair obviously met in a shoe factory which as they were Howell street and Adpar street that the shoe factory would be fairly local.
Thankyou to all for your help in trying to solve this. Dee

Your research has quality and you should commend yourself on this.
A great idea, this could open up a world of comunication between countries which otherwise at present can be very difficult due to interpretaion for instance and authority control over records.

Well done!!!

Hi
 I just found this

Thomas Lilley founded the shoe manufacturers and retailers Lilley &
Skinners.

He founded the firm in 1835 in Southwark, London, and was known simply
as 'Thomas Lilley'.

The business prospered and in c1849 branch factories were opened at
Wellingborough and Irthlingborough, Northamptonshire.

In 1870s a retail shop was opened in the Harrow Road, London, followed
by many others, and the firm's headquarters moved to Edgware Road.

In 1881 William Banks Skinner was taken into partnership, and the name
of the firm changed to Lilley and Skinner.
