Has anyone used JRI Poland and then subsequently sent for LDS records. I think I am at a standstill too but JRI was wonderful to use after finding the name of the stetl on the manifest--which I had missed before.

would like to hear if you found any birth or marriage records. JRI Poland says there may be some at LDS but they would be in Polish. Have you ever used LDS records?

I just joined this group today after googling SIEMIATYCZE where my great grandparents are from. Would like to hear from others about any research that can be done i.e. finding old records. There were quite a few postings in 2009 but it is taking me a while to master this group and how to communicate. Hope to hear from others. SIEMIATYCZE was in Poland and JRI Poland has been of great help
