Hi Frank and Irene yes my Eddie went to Ashton Grammar perhaps Irene's brother was in a different grade from him my husband will be 71 in May. Yes I would love to catch with all of you who knows, at present we have too many medical problems in the family for me to leave when I can I will make another trip home

Hi Frank good to hear you are out and about congratulations  to you and Irene on your recent 45th wedding anniversary how time goes by Ken and Kathy must be coming up for their 46th me I reach my 50th in June we sure are getting old I was last in the UK 18 months ago visiting my sister in Surrey I was also visiting my sister-in-law in Ashton-in-Makerfield I did not know about Roots chat/Haydock then or I would have met up with you all
Hope you are engoying the lovely weather in the UK
we are going into winter but we do not get any frost or snow just cool winds and still plenty of sunshine

Hi Jatcc I am not sure if I remember you but I do remember Val Hamer I married in June 1961 and then lived out I left the WRAF in October that year at the end of my time my husband was a civilian at Haydock he was a steward in the Officers mess he worked with Bruce John and Shirley Sdr Leader Nolan was th oic when I left my maiden name was McCormack when I left I was in the typing pool as switched simplex was in signals and national service was finished and we had too much staff I also worked in the workshop with Flt Sgt Kerr
good to talk to people who shared a part of my life I now live on an Island off the east coast of Queensland Australia

Hi JACC not sure who you are but thankyou for your reply I was at Haydock 1958 1961 been talking to some of the inmates since then namely Ken Dodds nd Frank Migy I have such fond memories of Haydock I had my wedding there in the corporals club in 1961 50 years coming up in June through Ken Dodds I have heard of the demise of some of my dear friends so I do not know how many are left and there has been very postings on this site for a few weeks

Hi  everyone do not know what happened to all who served at NWCC  from 1958 to 1961  I must be the only one left tried in different ways to contact people I knew through Forces reunited to no avail
Ken Dodds [put me onto this site but i have not heard from too many from my era

Hi the two ladies in the middle dark hair Sylvia Pengelly and the blonde Pip Mullins the young fellow sitting in the front row end with the cup in front of him was Jack not sure of his surname he was a cpl mp with your dad also wo craig as mentioned by ken
