I am new to Roots Chat in the in the last 6 months and have dug out an old book which i picked up some 45 years ago as a lad. It is The London Scottish Regimental Gazette Volume XX11 No 250 October 1916 to December 1918 Volume XX111 No276. It contains names and some pictures from The Field of Honour, Missing, died later because of injury's and some Obituary's, Marriages, births poems and stories some hand written.
If you think there may be information contained within it that may be of some interest then give me some time to look through i will do my best to help you out.

I have friends in Selkirk that are Heatlies and if you go to BT phonebook on line and put in Heatlie and Selkirk it will come up with quite a list that may be of some use to you.
I know that James had a father called Tom that may have some connection to you.

At the moment i have Frederick Albert Hope born 6th March 1919, possable brother Thomas Alfred Hope born 19th May 1916 and possable sister born 1925 ? also maybe a twin brother on this date that may have died at birth.
Fathers name was Albert Hope who got married in 1915 to
Lawson, marrage certificate index number (9d247).
