Hi all

More info for you about Tolitha Cumi and James Steadman they had two children Florence (Gibbons) born about 1900 died during the war and Harold similar birth date he must have died in the late 1980s I believe his widow is still alive.  My mother Vera Brenda her sisters Joan and Beryl and their brother Leonard are the children of Florence.  It seems Aunt Dinah (Lavinia) had a cafe in Prestatyn Wales prior to living in Waterfoot if this is any help to tracing her my Mother thinks she may have married twice

Regards Kidles

Hi I think I might have some useful information for you about the Ellis family.  My mother and her sister are the surviving grand children of Tolitha Cumi and James Steadman, there was another sister and a brother now sadly passed away.  My Mother and Aunt still live in the Wolverhampton area. Tolitha Cumi died in the 1970s She lived for many years in Blakenhall , Wolverhampton, James died before the second world war having been in the boar war and 1st war.   Aunt Dinah (Lavinia) did exist we visited her a few times when we were children  She lived in Waterfoot near Manchester Her surname then was Cartwright and she was a widow.  My late Aunt used to visit Jim Ellis and his family in Coventry until their deaths and his Sister Florence emigrated to Australia with her husband Lou and their children.  Jim and Florence were the children of Nebo jnr. Nebo snr  died during the bombing of Coventry the family were bombed out twice during the blitz and walked to wolverhampton with a young baby to seek refuge Hope this was of interest i think i have it right
