Does not surprise me
Indeed (without looking at the original documents)it seems that Comrie was close to that somewhat mythical Highlands fault line and that some of its inhabitants did not speak English
All of which is a long way from Glasgow

There were of course McIsaacs(spelled variously)in 18C Comrie and several other Perthshire villages nearby
There were others in 18C Argyll, but I am quite prepared to go along with the family tradition that my lot came originally from Perthshire

My own ancestors are Wm McIsaac 1769-1819 plumber & burgess of Glasgow who married Ann Durie 1771-1817 and their son James McIsaac 1802-49 soap manufacturer Glasgow

Wm is said to have been the son of James McIsaac of Comrie.but I have no proof whatsoever of this
Any connections known ?

I am studying the same  line namely the descendants of James Bowers of Froyle 1793-1875 who married Mary Vokes 1795-1878 at Binsted in 1815
How do you fit in ?
Have you gone to the Hants Record Office to check on earlierr ancestors ?
