New Zealand Completed Requests / Sailing Ship "Oamaru"
« on: Sunday 26 June 11 17:34 BST (UK)  »
I am looking for passenger lists for the Oamaru when it arrived in Port Chalmers on 17 Feb. 1875. I have two sets of great and great great grandparents who arrived on that ship.
One is Alexander Cameron Collie and maybe his parents Alexander and Mary?
Also George Forbes Hendry and his wife Mary Jane Ritchie.
I have been unsuccessful in finding a passenger list for that particular sailing. If anyone has any info on that list or this particular family, I would love to see it.

John.

Thank you all for your responses.
This will help me greatly. I was told by my father that Harry was a "Sailmaker". His Daughter Naomi Jane was my grandmother. Yes I can name everyone in the photo. On my "Keltie Family" website I have the same photo posted with my Keltie side of the family named. I could name everyone else if someone was interested.

Hi, This sounds like my great grand father. He married Sarah Jamieson.  He was an engineer who emigrated to Tasmania and built the flour mills in Launceston. His son Hugh Edward Peter Keltie was born in Launceston around 1873.
