The newspaper article was an emigration case. Duggan denied he was the father of Bethia. He already had banns published at Wolverhampton Church to another lady( I thought it was to Margaret Jordan but have reread the item) which would have been 1862 before October.
Maybe Margaret married someone else and Bethia took his name ?

I am looking for marriage banns 1862 at Wolverhampton Church between Margaret Jordan and Charles Duggan.
If an 'order of affiliation' was made against Charles Duggan in 1862 where am I likely to find that.
Charles Duggan worked for a Mr Foster at Brierly Hill.
A child Bethia Duggan was born supposedly to the above two in April 1862 but I haven't found her birth.
The above information has been gathered from a newspaper report so have no idea how accurate it is.
Grateful for any ideas or information.

I thought Jane was born 1844/5(going by her place in the family)
I have found deaths/ burials I would like to investigate. They are at the Warstone
Cemetery. Are their any records online for this cemetery(I am in NZ)

Did John and Jane have anymore family? When did John and Jane die?
I have tried finding them in the census but can't find a good match (1871,1881) Maybe I am
missing something.

Hello Everyone
I have come to a standstill. John Southall married Jane Duggan 24 September 1862 St Andrews Bordesley.
Daughter Nelly born Sep qtr 1864 died Dec qtr 1865.
Can someone help please with further information on this family.
