Thanks Dave
Sounds like a painful death!
Do you have a Family tree?
What line in the family are you?
I see you must be through John White whilst I am through George Hobins White then his son Walter White

Eric

Thomas White was my Great Great Grandfather. 1796 to 1852
He had 5 children to my Knowledge
George Hobins White 1818 to 1892 married twice (Elizabeth Cooper) and (Charlotte Hill)
Thomas White 1820
Alfred White 1822
Emma White 1826
John White 1830 who Married Sarah Bannister

You say Thomas died in1854 aged 56 but he died in 1852 aged 56
Could it be that you are just getting the Father and Son mixed up as they are both named Thomas?
Kind regards Eric White your long distant relative

Hello Martin
My Great Great Great Grandfather Was Richard Folke born 1770 in Tenbury Worcestershire he died in Dec 1847 and is buried in Stoke Bliss  (ref Tenbury 18 398)
I have been informed that he was in the Army for 16 years and 114 days
He was in the 3rd Regiment of Foot (Buffs)
It is not known if he was at Waterloo but it is believed he was in the Napoleonic Wars
Any information would be appreciated
Kind regards
Eric White
