Family History Beginners Board / Joseph Mayer 1803 - 1886
« on: Saturday 19 February 11 09:01 GMT (UK)  »
Could anyone help me with my tree as i am trying to find a connection with Joseph Mayer's brother Thomas as to whether he had a daughter Ann Mayer.I descend from John Pepper (the architects) brother Vernon. Johns daughter was Margaret Pepper who married Samuel Mayer, their son was Joseph mayer of Liverpool 1803 -1886. In 1838 ( I have a copy of the marriage certificate) a John Pepper marries an Ann Mayer in Wolstanton, on it, states that her father, Thomas, was a collier.I just thought it would be interesting to be able to see if they were distantly related again further down my tree,i have my tree printed out if it will help anyone. Many thanks if anyone can help,
       kind regards Sharon

hi carole,my tree seems to be different than yours then, as on my tree  john pepper married ann mayer,he had a brother joseph, don't know who ann's dad was.they went on to have an only son john who married charlotte shuker and they too had an only child named herbert who was my great grandfather - if you think you may have it wrong you could look into who ann mayers father was that is on my tree that married john 2nd july 1838 wolstanton x
