Thank you.  I went to Doncster and found details for the fire.  I am now on the hunt for anyone who may have a photo of Irene Richards nee Shaw, she was born in Don Valley in 1918 and lived in Avenue Road, Askern, Doncaster until her death in 1960.  She was married to a Welshman called Robert Richards and had three children.  Anyone who knows anything about her please get in touch.  Lorraine

Hello everyone, I'm trying to find any family members or old friends of Irene Richards (nee Shaw) who died back in 1960.  She had three daughters one of which has died and one who was adopted.  Any information no matter how small would be greatly appreciated.

Hi everyone, I'm not sure if this is the correct procedure so sorry.  I am desperately trying to obtain a photo of my Great Aunt Violet Moss who married Reginald F Tilley in Taunton 1932 and died in 1934.  Her daughter is still alive and has never owned a photo of her mum.  I though somebody somewhere may have a wedding picture.  Thank you, Lorraine

Hello There
I have lived in Thornton all my life. Main Street was either Market Street or Thornton Road but I am almost certain it was Market Street.  There is a book called 'When I were a Lad'.  It is amazing and describes old Thornton in amazing detail.  Thought it may help I'm sorry I have forgot the Author.

Thanks to you both. Jonas and his first wife Hannah had three children, John Thomas 1867, George Goodwin 1869 and Sarah Ann 1872. Jonas and Bessie had three children, Jonas Hall 1890, Willis Hall 1893, (my gt grandfather) and John Hall 1898, (Hall being their middle name). They lived at 500 Leeds Road and then 566 Leeds Road. Jonas was a general dealer, cabinet maker, greengrocer and a broker. (Jack of all trades by the look of things)!!! I managed to get a copy of Jonas Hall Mitchell stood outside the shop at 566 Leeds Road, amazing.
I also found the marriage details of Jonas and an Esther Elizabeth Hillman, but on the census and Jonas's death certificate she is Bessie Mitchell Also on Willis's birth it states mother Bessie Mitchell formerly Hall.

On the 1891 census she is Elizabeth and from Wakefield which is incorrect, also Jonas is from Nannerch???? should be Bradford.
I have just found a Betsy Hall christened 1/4/1855 Tankersley, father Isaac Hall and mother Alice, on familysearch which sounds promising.
