Hi,  was hoping someone might know about John Bryant born 1827 and baptised at St George the Martyr 25 Decmber 1831.The last record I have for his is on the 1851 census where he is living with his Mother Ann at 6 King st Bermondsey. He is listed as Tanner and unmarried.
Any help with what happened to him after this date would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Thankyou David, Id say that would have to be the family for sure.Interesting that there is another Bryant family living next door with the head being John bryant. You dont happen to know the names of the other children from this family?
thanks  Matthew

The family of Ann Colville and William Bryant are the ones I am looking for.The only solid info I have on them is that they had a son John born abt 1833.I suspect it is the Bermondsey family of William Cole Bryant but no solid evidence. I have plenty of info on the Bermondsey family but no marriage record for William and Ann in that family.I have had a pretty good look through the records availible online but have run into a brick wall so was hoping someone on rootschat may have come across the family. I have had a look at Bryants in Sussex before and am pretty sure they dont fit in. thanks again for taking the time to look at it

William Cole Bryant is the head for that family. I have never been able to find a marriage for him and Ann. It would be lovely to do so as It would prove everything

Thats the family that I think he belongs to,John that is.That Bryant family is where my ancestry Lies. 2 other members of that family also emmigrated to the same area in New Zealand, William 1837 and Thomas 1844.The only hitch is that Somerset was listed on his death cert. I am aware that mistakes can be made over continents and time though, thanks  Matt
