Australia / Re: George and Geraldine CARR = Victoria

Thanks. I have long since managed to sort out this family. Charles Warburton Carr and his wife Geraldine nee Curr have one living descendant, with whom I am now in contact. I took her to visit the Lyall homestead in Cranbourne, which meant a lot to her. Sadly she will be the end of the line as she has no children - but lots of interesting information and photos.

I'm still curious to know more about the ward of the state who was placed with the Carrs.

No, I don't know anything about ward of the state, Arthur Charles Hayes, being 'licensed out' to Charles Warburton Carr in April 1869. Can you give me some more information and I'll see what I can find.

Thanks. I do have his will. It's his great-grandchildren that I am trying to find and I think the only possibility is through his daughter Cecil Garnet Warburton Carr who married John Mickle Lyall in 1899. She died in 1904, soon after the birth of their 4th son.

Charles Warburton Carr is my gt-gt-granduncle. I have a lot of dates and details about his family and his ancestors would love to exchange information.  I'm particularly interested to know if Cecil Garnet Warburton Carr's children have any living descendants as there is an event coming up in Feb 2011 and it would be great to involve a direct descendant of Charles Warburton Carr.
