Lincolnshire Lookup Requests / Re: Electoral Roll search

I have found Rose's death in Kent in 1945. The reason I know it's her as on the probate record online mentions one of Rose's daughters from a previous marriage as the executors. The age is slightly out but that happens as you may well know from experience. Thanks largely to you for your help. This chapter is all but finished and myths into facts.

She might be in Lincolnshire with her mother, and possibly moved after she died.

Where are these electoral rolls from? Kent? And are they on Ancestry or Find My Past?

Indeed it could! Does look like Elizabeth (aka Gwyneth). I'll investigate a little further. Thanks for the help

It was bare details from the 1939 Register on the free search. But I know Gwyneth's date of birth as 16th August 1906 if her baptism is to be believed.

Lincolnshire Lookup Requests / Electoral Roll search
« on: Monday 24 April 17 13:33 BST (UK)  »
I have a family living in Lincolnshire (I think Welton) I am trying to find some more information on if possible. Members of the family (According to the 1939 Register) are: -

Dawn Rose b.1932
John T Rose b.1933
Elizabeth R E Rose b.1906
Rose M Willcox b.1868

Dawn, John and Elizabeth go by the surname Parsons in other entries, Elizabeth changed her name from Gwyneth Rose Elizabeth Parsons in late 1939 (according to the London Gazette), prior to that was known by her married name of Gwyneth Rose Elizabeth Dawe (in 1928) and originally was Gwyneth Rose Elizabeth Willcox born in 1906 in India (of which I have the details).

Question is, how long is she and her children in Lincolnshire for? I am having problems finding her after 1939.

Can anyone help?

Duncan McIsaac's 2nd wife Johanna/Joannah Campbell (Neé Palmer) is a part of my family. I do not know much about Johanna but more about her siblings and parents. I'm not sure where she got her surname from (I can't find her marriage to anyone called Campbell) but I do know her roots.

Cornwall Lookup Requests / Re: George Zebedee Protheroe WEEKS - Redruth

I've found this posting about 6 years late, and you have most probably made progress from this, I have George's wife Annie Ellen Hobbs in my tree (the daughter of Robert Hobbs).

I have seen the marriage certificate, of which they married in St Matthew's Church in Stonehouse (in which is now Plymouth) England. He is aged 23 at the time of marriage (13th April 1879), his profession is Painter, residence at time of marriage is Stonehouse, condition is batchelor, father Joseph Weeks who's profession I think is Hatter (was not overly sure but looks like it).

His birth on the BMD (Via FreeBMD) does look to be the 1855 Zebedee Weeks. He is George Zebedee Parnell Weeks on his marriage certificate and signs with that name in full. Annie's father remarried to Caroline Weeks in 1886. On the marriage certificate she is a widow and her father is put as Samuel Parnell. Just this minute I have found on FreeBMD a Caroline Parnell marrying Joseph Weeks in Truro district in 1848, so most probably George's mother).

I had at first believed one of George's middle names to be Protheroe, which caused some confusion, as the Hobbs family has that name, and I guess it's Caroline that links the two, and most probably Annie's father and George's met due to their connections with Annie and George.

I'll try and dig out some more detail.

Steve
