« on: Wednesday 04 December 13 22:51 GMT (UK)  »
Can anyone help with information on Thomas Le Sanggere who appears in the "Subsidy Rolls of Somersetshire" in 1327. He is listed as being resident in Tuckerton, just outside North Petherton.

Thanks

Peter

Can anyone provide details of the broader family of George Myers (1878 Leeds) and Mary Ann Berry (1878 County Down Ireland) who married in Leeds in 1901. Im aware of 1 child, Eliza Myers, who married Austin Upton in Leeds 1934. They had at least 3 children

Thank you. My Graces date back to the 1830s so I cant imagine the headstones would still be standing or legible

Can anyone help with the families of 2 marriages in NSW in the 1920s.

Frederick Ortega married Lavinia Ready in Ashfield in 1924 and James Fabian Ready married Freda Pryke in Waverley in 1928. All 4 continued living in NSW and later died in NSW.

Im looking for details of their children if possible. I have details on their ancestors if of use to anyone.

Limerick / James Reidy/Reedy/Ready - sailed to Australia 1841
« on: Tuesday 15 November 11 04:46 GMT (UK)  »
Can anyone help with details of James Reidy/Reedy/Ready who sailed as a 19 year old to Australia in 1841 aboard the Duchess of Northumberland. This places his birth c1822

James sailed as a single man from Limerick. He was not a bounty passenger, having paid his own way. In Melbourne he married Ellen Lynch (a 22 year old single woman on the same ship - Ellen a bounty passenger) in 1845. The early marriage certificates had little information so James parents arent mentioned. James and Ellen had 5 children.

James died in Melbourne in 1878 and the entry for his parents is both unknown. This is surprising as Ellen died in 1902 and was the informant, yet didnt know his parents names.

Im not aware of Ellen, but have details on her sisters Catherine Theresa and Annie who were christened in Bennetsbridge between 1865 and 1872, so there plenty of capacity for more children.

Edward was the brother of my ancestor James Foley who married in Annamult in 1854 (outside Bennetsbridge) came to Australia straight after. James and Edward were the sons of Denis Foley and Ellen Mangan (Mangin). Denis in turn the son of Daniel Foley and Mary Campion was christened in 1788

Happy to send the family info I have.

Peter
