Warwickshire / Re: Albert J Stickley
« on: Friday 07 March 25 18:51 GMT (UK)  »
Hi,
Talking about Margaret Tarver, I found she was Joseph Stickleys servant, on an earlier census, and it seems she became more than that when his wife Mary JH Stickley died.
I haven't found her death yet though....I had found that her surname was Gold though.
The people I'm looking at this family for, are both 90 plus, and are getting a little frail now, will be so pleased with the info you've all helped to find.
Thanks all.

Good Afternoon friends,
Would someone be able to do a look up for me please.
I'm looking for anything on Albert J Stickley who married Ann Burton  at Wellington in Shropshire in March 1922.
I believe the J, is Joseph, and I believe he was born at Aston, Warwickshire 1893.
Thanks in advance

Shropshire / Price brothers

Good Morning friends,
Would someone be able to do a census look up for me please.
There's not a lot to go on though.....Harold Price, who married May Tranter in Wellington, Shropshire in Dec 1924, had two other brothers,  by the names of Percival and Jim who I am trying to find.
I was just thinking about the 1901 or 1911, or even the 1921 census, wandering if anyone can find the three of them, hopefully in Shropshire.
That's all the info I've got at the moment though.
Thanks.

Wexford / Re: Mary Jane Obryan
« on: Wednesday 12 February 25 15:00 GMT (UK)  »
Hi everyone,
Just an update here......I was always told that my g-nan,Mary Jane O'bryan/Bryan, was born in Wexford, but someone has added Mary Bryan to our ancestry records, born 16th Feb 1871 in Wicklow, with parents John Bryan & Jane Byrne.
This is interesting as Mary J gives her surname on the two children born in Ireland, as Bryan or Byrne.
Still trying to find Marys marriage to Thomas Cooper though.

Hi all,
Having spoken to one of George's children, who is 90, she tells me there was an older brother called Charles, and also a younger brother, called George.
They weren't on the military records......it would be good to find them if possible.
I'm helping this lady to find some of her family tree.
Thanks again everyone.

Hello,
The info I found on George, b Surrey 1892, was from familysearch, and it was from his military record.
According to that ,there are six children, some born Wolverhampton, the others are the Shropshire kids.
And it also states he's married to Hilda Mary  Farrington.
Cheers

Hi again,
Just thought I'd let you know that I think I've found George.
It looks like he was actually born in Surrey 30th May 1892.
But thank you all

Hello again,
I have a marraige for a George Humphreys and Hilda M Farrington, March 1928 at Wolverhampton, and do know all about Hilda, but don't have anything on George.
You wonderful people out there, are so good at finding things, and you do it so much quicker than I can.
Just wandered if there's anything on the 1930s register?
Thanks again

Hello again fellow rootschatters,
I am hoping someone can help me with finding parents, or any other info on an Arthur Farrington and his wife Elizabeth Boswell, who I believe married in Wolverhampton in 1905.
Thanks in advance.
