Hello Claire
My great grandmother is Eliza Jenkins who is Mary Ann Jenkin sister. Eliza was born May 22 1864 and married William Miller April 10 1881. That would make us cousins. Welcome to the family. Are you using ancestry? I still have much work to do on that side of the family. I do have birth certificates for all the children for John and Ann. I also have a cousin in Australia. He lives in Geelong just south of Melbourne.

Hello Bryant
Thanks for your help. It will be of great help to me. Through GenesReunited I have found a 3rd cousin who has much of the information on the family and she confirmed that he was a sawyer and not a lawyer. With her help I should get to the bottom of it all.
Thanks again
Roger

Just wanted to thanks to both Cougar and Sylviaann
for their time spent in helping me out. I am not sure where to go next. The family came from somewhere, just need to figure out where they came from. Nothing like a good challenge.
Thank you both.

Thank You Cougar for the reply. This would not be the family I am looking for. My great grandmother was 20 when she married in 1852. Her father was listed on the marriage certificate, but I guess that doesn't mean he wasn't deceased. I don't know what her mothers name was. It is possible I suppose that it was her mother.  I will have to find another avenue of searching this family out.
Thank You
Roger

Dear Sylviaann
Thank you for taking the time to check the 1851 index out for me. I am going to be away for the rest of the week. I will check when I return and hopefully someone has the images and can do a look up for me.
Thank you
Roger

Hello Modette
From looking at the list you have I would say that you are resarching the same family I am. I believe the picture you have is a Picture of Albert Jenkins son of Samuel Thomas Jenkins. In your picture is he holding the hand of Hilda Jenkins?
He is not my connection to the Jenkins but I am in touch with a young lady that is his great Granddaughter. My link to the Jenkins family is through Eliza Emily Jenkins. What information would you have on the Jenkins family? I am assuming that you are a direct descendant of Thomas via Albert. Albert Merle's was the father of Nellie Merle's who married Albert. I would be greatly interested in the Jenkins family as you have found them. I have done extensive searches and have quite a bit of information on them. Look forward to hearinf from you.

Hello, I am new to this list so I hope I am not asking too much.
I have my Great Great Grandparents marrying Sept 12 1852 in the district of Shoreditch in the district parish of St. Mary Haggerston. John Jenkins age 21 married Ann Ringer age 20. Grooms father was Joseph Jenkins occ Lawyer and the Brides father was John George Ringer occ Greengrocer. Residence at time of marriage listed as Kingsland Rd. for both. I have the 1871 census showing Ann and her children in Hoxton but John had died by this time. I can not find them on the 1861 census because that area was lost. I don't have any information on the fathers. Ann lists her birthplace as Hoxton or shoreditch on the census. If anyone could have a look on the 1851 census it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Roger
