Slightly better, note the net curtain in background on right hand side probably indicating it was taken indoors.

I agree with shanreagh with book golder - enlarging the image it seems more like a 'g' rather than a 'f'.

I had a similar issue a few years ago and it seemed that my login details had become corrupted at their end, I finished up registering again and all ok since.

Wonder what the situation was if the person was deemed not to be of sound mind?  Perhaps they were considered ill like a physical illness person and buried in Church ground?

Thanks, I'll check with the West Sussex Records Office and thanks for checking the newspapers.

Don't think there's anymore that anyone can so thanks again.  :)

Thanks for your replies.

I need to check a few things that you've found to see if that could fit in with what I know.

It is Hannah's missing burial that is the puzzle so any lead is welcome.

Thanks for your prompt reply, that may explain why an ancestor is missing from parish burial records.

The Common Room / Checking newspapers for death of Hannah Redman.

I don't have access to newspaper archives and I wonder if someone who has could check the following for me please.

Hannah Redman had a son George baptised at St Mary's in Billingshurst then no further record of her.  Her husband Edward re-married in 1804 so presumably Hannah must have died in the intervening period but there's no burial record for her.

Could someone check if there's any newspaper record of Hannah's death in the period 1800 to 1804, even possibly her suicide please.

Thanks.
