Mountpleasant estate was owned at that time by the O'Connor Morris Family. In his 1895 book, Memories and Thoughts of a Life, which is available to read free of charge on line at http://www.onread.com/writer/William-O-connor-Morris-171721, and can be ordered in print on-line, O' Connor Morris describes the famine years on his estate and the emigration which occured. The family were seen as good landlords at the time, but the failure of the potato crop drove many tenants to the roads and abroad.

There is a Salmon Interior Design Business on the Dublin Road in Bray. It is owned by two Salmon brothers and a sister, from a long-established Bray family. If you google Salmon Interiors Bray, contact details and a telephone number is available.
