I have found such like in the NZ Police Gazette.

https://paperspast.natlib.govt.nz/periodicals/new-zealand-police-gazette

The one I found mentioned the child's name and the name of the parent that support was being saught from, but not the custodial parent.

It is possible to request a 'Look up' on the NZ boards, if you need it: https://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=508522.0

Hi Stuart

Here is a link to the holding in the Western Australia State Library
https://slwa.wa.gov.au/collections/family-history/explore-country/new-zealand

If you detail more of the specifics of your enquiry, perhaps others can help further.

Kind regards
Twiggy

I presume you have found this BDMH entry and it is not of interest?
1874/44539, MOYLE, John, Emma, Stephen Nelson

However although I can't find it on the website I also had a note of
1874/09568, MOYLE, John, , ,

I don't have the Births Microfiche at hand to cross-check location.

The Thomas McGUIRE mentioned in the will of Charles McGUIRE may be this one:
https://ndhadeliver.natlib.govt.nz/delivery/DeliveryManagerServlet?dps_pid=IE10765229

If so, the mother is 'Don't know'.

The Cenotaph record notes a direct descendant that may be able to be connected with?
https://www.rootschat.com/links/01tbx/

Or this Thomas McGUIRE was also born 1892:

If you haven't already looked, here is the link to Thomas McGUIRE references at the NZ Archives:

The Charles McGUIRE that Neale1961 found appears to be the only one in New Zealand between 1876 and 1919.

His date of death is 4 August 1918.

However this Charles McGUIRE would have been born in 1828 (or earlier; as the papers note him as 94 but BDMH have him as 90).

There is a death for a MAGUIRE in 1916 but this fellow was a lot younger than the person you are looking for.

How sure are the family that the Charles in Te Aroha, and the will are the family they are looking for.  What connection do they have backward or forward?

To illustrate the Australian possibility ... there is a Charles McGuire who died in NSW, Australia in 1888 that had a birthdate of 1842.
