I've magnified the "Occupation" column on this upload.

I don't think it's much help!?!

I attach a scan of my grand uncle Sidney James Fackrell's 19 Apr 1967 death certificate.

Can anyone decipher the hospital in the "Where and when died" column please?

I'm also having trouble with most of the words in the "Occupation" column as well as the address in the "Informant's" column!

Many thanks,

Bryan

Armed Forces / Can I find a War Diary from a Regimental Number? - CLOSED
« on: Monday 21 November 11 22:12 GMT (UK)  »
Hi all.

My maternal grandfather Cyril James Henry Wray served as a Private in the Royal Army Service Corps in WW1.

Is it possible to ascertain his Regiment from his Regimental Number (A/360374)?

I know from the "National Roll of the Great War" that he served at the Somme, Aberville, Amiens, Dieppe and other places but would like to get a bit more detail from the War Diaries - for which I need his Regiment.

Many thanks.

Mark,

Thanks for this - it's another possibility.

Neither Joseph nor Annie survived until the 1911 census. Both were 49 years old when they married (for the second time) and there were no further children.

Annie did however die as "Fackrell" and not "Marnham".
