I would like to thank you all for the hard work you  all did in looking for my ancestor George Castle Brian.  he sure was hard to track down. You would not think that it would be so tricky.
Fantastic work. You are a great team.

Carlow / the McAsey family from county carlow c 1800's
« on: Wednesday 11 July 07 02:37 BST (UK)  »
I am trying to find out about my McAsey/ Mackessey/ Mackesy family  (other ways to spell surname too) who came from Ballyellin area Co Carlow c 1800's.
Namely Michael / Mick McAsey / Mackessey etc. who married Mary Doolan. They had 6 chn I think -  my gr gr  grandmother Margaret McAsey being 1 of them. it is thought Margaret was born c 1809-1815  in Kilkenny. Margaret married matthew Kelly c 1840 &  they came to Australia in 1841.
Info on the McAsey family would be much appreciated.
Thanks :)

I would like an 1891 census lookup for James Hunt born warrington lancs c 1822. He was a coal miner.
he lived in Barnsley  for several years & may be on the 1891 census in  Barnsley. I had previsly asked for a lookup in Lancs but he was not there, so maybe he is on 1891 census in Barnsley.
thanks  :)
