I found that the lawn cemetery is online but not the old cemetery, even though that's an option for one of the cemeteries you can search

Hi

I think we've been in contact before about the cockburns. I am Sarah-Jane descended from Walter and Sarah Ann Cockburn.

Thanks for posting this I was just wondering why at least of the recent death certificates I got had senile decay.

In 1 family i've had 5 deaths with 2 different terms used to basically describe TB

Hi

I think we have some relatives in common - ralph's mother is the niece of my great great grandfather. hope that makes sense. Ralph's great great grandparents are George Cockburn and Mary Lea Hush and it is their son Walter that is my great great grandfather.

I would love to hear from any of you that are related

Hi
I also have an Isabella Blair born 1802 Duns in my family. She married James Robertson in 1822 in Duns.

According to the old scottish tradition of naming their children (which this family seemed to follow) her parents should be George and Alison. These names have come down through the generations as well.

One of Isabellas daughters had an Alison Blair living with her and I found Alison also living with a George and Alison (her grandparents) on the census. I looked for possiblities of George and Alison having my Isabella
 - George Blair married Alison Sinclair 1787 oldhamstocks
- your George and Alison Darling

The only Isabella I found being born was your one though. Am wondering if you can shed any light on the matter. they probably didnt have 2 Isabellas at the same time :)

Thanks
Sarah-Jane

Antrim / Weir family, Rasharkin
« on: Monday 11 April 11 22:31 BST (UK)  »
Hi

I am looking for a member of the Weir family who came from Rasharkin. One of them apparently has a headstone erected by J Dysart, Kimberly, New Zealand. I don't know which cemetery or who the person is - this is what I am trying to link in with my family.

If anyone is passing a cemetery and sees a headstone with this inscription I'd be grateful for the details.

Thanks
Sarah-Jane

Great site. Just wondering if there's a similar thing for earlier ships?
