I believe the McAullays you are interested in are part of my family tree. I think John is my 3rd GreatGrandfather.
John McAullay and Margaret Forrester had 5 children - Margaret, Alexander and John that you listed along with Isabella and George. John McAullay died 1891 of senile decay and is buried in Whitburn along with Margaret Forrester who died in 1895. In the next grave are Margaret who died in 1877 aged 36 of heart disease and Alexander who died aged 18. Alexander's death certificate indicates he died as a result of a mining accident I cannot find any record of this in the list of accidents in mines in West Lothian. It has been suggested to me that mine owners would send an injured miner home if he was still alive so that the death would be recorded as taking place at home rather than in the mine.
I am still researching the others in this line to try and fill in the large number of gaps that exist. I'd be happy to hear where you fit in this line and what other information you may have.
