hi cousin Troods!

Elizabeth Ashmore was my ggg grandmother. Ive been doing the fam tree for a number of years and have alot of info on the Williams in Victoria especially.

Kezia Bales used quite a few names and seemed to have been hiding from someone from her arrival in Victoria around 1855. She married Thomas Barker in 1864 who had fathered three children to Kezia from 1857 to 1862. She used a different name on each birth certificate.

My information says Kezia and Elizabeth came from Beeston but in Norfolk not Nottinghamshire, I got stumped here as there are four Beestons in Norfolk which would make it a good placename to quote if you don't want to be found out! I take all info for Kezia with a grain of salt.

I spent days going through the microfiche at the State Library of Victoria looking at William Williams's, nearly went mad, but found him and a whole heap of relo's. WILLIAM PENWELL WILLIAMS. (So the name Penwell is from his mother Catherine then). He and Elizabeth Annen/Annand/Anning had 11 children

I take it you are from the family of Augustus Philip Williams who moved to WA?
I'm from his eldest sister Elizabeth Emily Williams family.

I'd like to share our information and would enjoy hearing from you

Kind regards
Damo
