Above the capital A of Warminghurst, on the 1909 map, there is a Mill Copse, I wonder if there was an old building there in the past ?

Yes, in 1901 it was the entry right at the end, written after Cray’s Cottage which was number 81 on the schedule.

I’ve added the surrounding properties in my original post.
Hope that helps.
Maybe it was a tiny place tucked away near the church.

That’s interesting, thanks, but a long way from the village centre where they seem to have lived.
It shows as being very close to the church, Crays and Cumberland House on the census schedules.

Sussex / Mill House, Thakeham. Where is it please ?
« on: Thursday 16 October 25 16:37 BST (UK)  »
My ancestors, George Weller and family, lived at Mill House in Thakeham in 1861 but I can’t find any reference to the property.
No mention of it in 1871.
In 1881 it’s between the church and Cray’s cottage and occupied by the Batchelor family.
No mention of it on the 1891.
As at 1901 it is marked as uninhabited and shows as being after Crays Cottage.
Any thoughts as to where it was please !?
Thanks.

That’s great, thanks everyone.
I’ll have a look on Google to see if there any old photos.

Ah that’s interesting.
The certificate is a copy of the original entry rather than a recent handwritten one.
It clearly says East Street.

London and Middlesex / COMPLETED THANKS

I’ve just received a birth certificate for someone in 1873 but I’m struggling to find the location of the address.
I realise street names changed and places were demolished but if anyone could help I would be very grateful.
I’d like to find it on a map !

It is…….  1,New Street Cottages, New Street, East Street, Lambeth.

How many ‘Streets’ does one person need in an address ?!!!!

Many thanks

Update, New Street was off Princes Street so we’re getting nearer !
