Hi, my Single name was Stanley, my father was John Henry Stanley born 1917 whose parents were George Stanley "Digger" and his mother was Alice Davis (she was previously married and her married name was Rackham). My grandfather "Digger" parents were George and Cinderella. Digger's wife was Annetta (Annette) Chesterman. Digger lived/died whilst living with my grandmother of TB March 1919. If I can be of any help, please get in touch

Hi, I haven't come accross a Lilliana as one of my Grandfather's sisters. Are you able to find out anyone elses name within your family that were born say between 1870 and 1917 as thats when his children were born or whether Lilliana was a wife of a brother.  I was contacted a short time back and have been in contact with my Grandfather's eldest son (also a George) via his great grandson's new wife.  I have gone back as far as about 1800 in the family.  My family tree is on Ancestry.com.  If you want to speak to me then please let me have your email or phone number.

GRAND-DAUGHTER OF GEORGE "DIGGER" STANLEY. Hi my maiden name was Kay Stanley (now Horsnell). my Father was John Henry Stanley who also had the nickname of "Digger" was THE SON of George "Digger" Stanley and Alice (nee Davis). My dad had a sister known as Biddy (I think her real name was Ada) and a half brother (same Mother) named Fred (shortened I think).  I remember my Aunt Ada when I was small always wearing black. She had a stall in Portobello Road W11. She lived in Lancaster Road as did we, but at opposite ends. We moved to Portobello Road when I was 11 (I'm now 54). I remember her son Black Harry and also my dad's cousin Sylvie Stanley. If I remember right her daughter and I went to the same school Avondale Road Primary School or Holland Park Comprehensive (she was either a year older or younger than me). My dad also went to Avondale  school but in his day it had a different name. I am at present researching my family tree and alot of what's written is conflicting but will get to the bottom of it eventually. ???
