Free Photo Restoration & Date Old Photographs / Photograph help

Hi,
Just hoping someone can help or at least point me in the direction of someone who may be able to?

This photograph contains a pic of my great grand-dad. I always assumed it was a photo but on the reverse it says it is a postcard. There is no writing on there, (except the word postcard on reverse) it was never posted to anyone. There is no information on the front or the reverse.
Im just wondering if anyone has any idea as to what was being celebrated, or where it was?

Just incase the following information helps or provides any clues- My great grandad was born and bred in Liverpool. Lived all his married years in Kirkdale area and supposedly worked on the trams at one time though I have no idea as to what his role was. He died approx 1947

Would just love to know why the pic was made into a postcard

Thanks Ken
William should show up as the head of household unless he and his wife were living with family at the time- his wifes name was Isabella (nee Bevan). As its not an uncommon name I wanted to make sure I had the right William when I try to trace him back

Lancashire / Re: 19th century Toxteth families

2.Several of the women married foreign sailors, mostly from the Baltic region. (I realise that as a major port, Toxteth would have been a cultural melting pot!) Was it common for Toxteth women to "marry out", as it were?

4. Can anyone recommend any books or websites where I can learn more about 19th century Toxteth?

thanks :)

Hi
I have recently read a book called 'Autobiography of a Liverpool Slummy' which was set in the Toxteth area and it appears it was very common at the time
