Lanarkshire / James Hughes Fairie

Can anyone help trace this person after 1941.  He was married to Jean McCann Jarvis on 8.12.1931 and was employed then as a ship steward.  Had three children, Isobel, Jean and Stephen and lived in the Gorbals, Glasgow, Scotland. Last paper evidence of him was his marriage certificate.  His father was Thomas Farie and his mother was Mary Hughes.
Many thanks, Marion.

Can anyone help with the above subject.  I would appreciate it if there is anyone in the Cambuslang area who could look into this for me or recommend a Family Tree Association I could contact to do some research on this person as I am completely at a loss what to do next to find out what happened to this Uncle of mine.
Many thanks
Marion.

Re John Bell; I never met my mother's brother, John.  I was born in 1945 at 45 Gateside Avenue and my brother Andrew was also born there in 1934.  He does not remember this Uncle at all.
The last known time he was around was at my Mother's wedding on 13th July 1934 where he was a wittness to the wedding.  He signs himself 'John Bell, 45 Gateside Avenue, Halfway, Cambuslang, Wittness'.  This is why I am sure it is my Mother's brother as the only other John in the family was my grandfather and he was deceased at the time of my Mother's wedding.  I have his birth certificate dated 8.6.1910 and then he is listed in the 1911 census on 2nd April 1911 as 'John Bell, son, 7 months'.
I had thought with the timing he may have gone into one of the services at the beginning of WW11 but so far can find no trace at all.
I do appreciate your help with this very much and look forward to hearing from you again.
Regards, Marion.

Hi Dano,

I do have the death certificate for Andrew Rae who died in 1887 but do not have one for Agnes Rae (Dunlop) so would appreciate that very much.

I do live in the Sydney area so contact would be good.

Many thanks
Mary

Hi Dano,
I am new to this Family Tree business and have been looking through items related to some of my forebears.
In regard to the Thomas Rae in question he was my Paternal Great-Great Great Grandfather.  Birth Cert.6/6/1784 Rae, Thomas [OPR Births 487/0010 0312 Polmont]
His wife was Mary Janet Thomson born 25/11/1781 [OPR Births 479/00 0040 0549 Falkirk]
As yet I have no marraige certificates or death certificates for them.
MY family line comes through:
Thomas's son Andrew born 1818, then his son Thomas born 1846, his son Andrew born 1880, then my father Thomas born 1904.

I would appreciate any help with this family line.

Regards,
MaryPark
