Mine has become utter nonsense

Today

19% English
4% Irish
77% Welsh

was

69 % Welsh
14% Scottish
7% Germanic
6% Irish
4% English

My tree is clear there are German roots on my fathers side. Over 300 years of English too which now seems to be captured.   I have always found it funny how the system doesn't recognise my parents tests.  so if I look at their 'ancestry' on my account its vastly different to their actual ancestry.

I have come to the conclusion that the database is corrupt now as I also match with cousins my parents don't match with.  How is that possible.

Disappointed.  I know its a bit of fun but how can you use dna to build trees when there are so many changes and errors.

Yes agreed. If anything it gets less reliable with each update.  I also think matches are not coming through. They have got too big.

Been looking foward to an update and disappointed yet again. Im 7% german from my father on my profile but on his profile he has none. When ate they going to sort out linked accounts.  Now im more german that both my parents combibed and nothing adds up.  I know its estimates but they have mine and my parents dna !

Frustrating

Thanks - sorry for the confusion.

This is her second marriage, after the death of her first husband Phillip Harris.   If i have the right orriginal marriage certificate in 1820 her maiden name would be davies.

Hi All

Please can you take a look at this wedding cert.

Its for a Jennett Harris - widow ( harris is her married name).  I think the father is davies ?  Ancestry has it as Harris

This cert is for a Jennet Harris and Thomas Edwards, Merthyr Tydfil, 1848.

Otherwise I have a harris marrying a harris ! which seems odd.

thank you,
