Somerset Lookup Requests / Job STOCK Born Shipham c1821
« on: Friday 14 October 11 00:35 BST (UK)  »
Good evening,
I would be very grateful if anyone could give me any information on my g-g-g-grandfather Job Stock, according to the 1851 and 61 census he was born in 1821 in shipham somerset and indeed on the 1861 census he is married and living with his wife Mary ann and son george in shipham.
My problem is i cannot find his birth record anywhere, i have tried the st leonard parish records on-line but he is not listed so i have come to a halt with my research on the stocks. Looking at the info on shipham it looks like the stocks have been there for a long time.
I would love to know who his parents were and go further back, incidentally Job and Mary were married in Axbridge in Jun 1848.
Many thanks for any help  :)

Dublin / Peter Castro b 1777

Hi all and thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer me.

For a long time now we have been perplexed by this Peter Castro, born 1777 (listed on 1841 census as "born, scotland, ireland or overseas) Just trying to track him down and see if he was actually from ireland so am trying to locate any shipping records that may have him as a passenger from 1777 to 1811, i know by 1811 he is in london as he marries a sarah carlton on 19/5/1811 in westminster, any ideas ??
Thanks again
