Hi Deidre, I have just come across this note again! I am most interested in the information you supplied - thanks. I have just found Elizabeth's birth record - she was registered as Betsy as you noted but I didn't think that she would actually be registered as Betsy. Elizabeth is also my g grandmother through her son Bruce Charles. I assume you are related via one of her daughters - was it one of the 2 who married Lidstons. I would be pleased to receive any further information which you have and to exchange any info which I have. I have just found a picture of the headstone of the grave of Elizabeth and Bruce in Karori Cemetery. Kind regards David Goudie

I too am in Calgary. A Redpath links to my Cochrane family. Pringle Redpath b. 1833 Melrose married in 1851 to Andrew Lamb b.1828 Melrose.  A daughter of theirs - Isabella b.13 Sept 1855 married a Thomas Cochrane.  Thought I'd pass this along.  M

I have these people in my Goudie Family. Pringle and Andrew Lamb had four children - the youngest Elizabeth born in ca 1861 married  Bruce Goudie 9th Jun 1876 in Le Bons Bay (Lyttelton) New Zealand - she was 15 and he was 39 - so from her age I assume that she migrated with her parents to New Zealand -but I haven't been able to find any record. Do you know any further details of the Redpaths or the Lambs?

Thanks David Goudie
