I am the Great Grandaughter of Aaron Colclough and Elizabeth Stubbs, they married 1/10/1905. My Grandad was John (Jack Colclough). Aaron's father was Henry who was a Potter. I'm not sure if/where Ernest fits in but this is something I'm currently looking at so if you can throw any light onto it that would be great.

Many thanks,I had found Ernest's death.Do you have any connection to the family?

Regards
William Russell Jones.

Don't know if this will help you:
5 Dec 1932  Ernest Colclough of 10 Baulon St, Hanley aged 59 years

First of all you will probably know that your Aaron Colclough was the son of another Aaron Colclough and a Maria Smith, and was Bapised in Shelton 6th May 1832.My own Colclough interest concerns an Ernest Colclough born in Tunstall in c 1874,the son of a James Colclough born in Tunstall in c 1852.Ernest married one of my Hancock relatives,a Harriet Hancock, but I am unable to know at this point whether there will be any connection,as I don't know the Father of James born in c 1852.The 1861 Census Entry for James merely shows his Mother Ann as the Head of the Household.
