Your William Whale is my g.g.g. grandfathers son from Birmingham who became a Baptist minister. His Brother Henry was my g.g. grandfather.

William and Sarah had ministries in Ipswich and Middlesborough UK before emigrating to Australia. There are many articles in the AU newspper archive relating to William with excerpts from newspaper interviews.  There are also notifications relating to his childrens marriages so should be plenty of chance to trace any descendants.  There is a photo of Sarah in her newspaper obituary she lived for many years after William died, mainly living with her daughters and appeared to be a formidable character.

Cheers

David Whale

I think the William Whale referred to as dying 1903 maybe the son of my gt gt gt gt gt grandfather Henry Whale in Birmingham, England who was married to Harriet and if so he was born 1843 and had siblings Catherine (b. 1847), Henry (b.1857), Edwin (b.1861).

I have only just started rsearching into my Whale family roots so any information would be welcome.
