Hello June,
I am a new to this excellent website so i hope i am doing the right thing here. But we seem to have some common ground n the Rea lineage.
I have been trying to find the parents of David Rae 1801 for quite some time now but without success. It would be interesting to find out if you have had more success than i have had.
In my family tree, David Rae and Catherina McCormick had eight children.
They arrived in (Great Clifton) Workington, Cumberland in 1845.
David Rea (1831-1864) married an Esther Emerson (1828-1868), i am a descendant from that line. My uncle was Emerson Ray.
If i can fill in any gaps you may have in your family tree, i would be happy to help.
Regards John James.
